After a general introduction to the evolution of massive stars, I will present recent results concerning the following open questions: How massive are the most and least-massive massive stars? How does rotation impact the structure and evolution of massive stars and the related nucleosynthesis. I will also give an update on two major stellar evolution modelling projects, nugrid and shyne. Nugrid is a project aimed at providing complete and consistent stellar yields. SHYNE is a ERC funded project, which started last November and which aims to build bridges between stellar evolution, 3D hydrodynamics and nuclear physics.
