Speaker: Elena Terlevich (Cambridge and University of Mexico)
I will present our recent 3D spectroscopy work on M33 and M101, as part of a larger programme to study the difference in the processes of star formation in the centre and disc environments (inner and outer – higher and lower metal abundance – regions) of nearby spiral galaxies (chemical composition and radial gradients).
I will also discuss ways of searching for possible physical parameters variation (or otherwise) inside each region.
