A general talk about the different types of galaxies there are in the universe and how scientists go about classifying them – both
historically, and more recently in the digital age now that we have lists of millions of galaxies. I talked about the “Galaxy Zoo”
project (“the project which harnesses the power of the internet – and your brain – to classify a million galaxies”) and the research I’m
doing using the galaxy classifications from that project.
