In f(R) gravity, nonlinear terms of the Ricci scalar R are added to the Einstein-Hilbert action. Such a modification of gravity can produce a late-time acceleration of the universe and thus serve as an alternative explanation to dark energy. However, within f(R) gravity, the growth of structure is enhanced, consequently leaving imprints on the large-scale structure that can be utilized to place constraints on the modification. This talk reviews various cosmological constraints on f(R) gravity from the cosmic microwave background to galaxy clusters.
