Title: An effective field theory of holographic dark energy
Abstract:
The idea of the holographic dark energy was originally proposed to reconcile the breakdown of the QFT in a large volume, which gives rise to a relation between UV cut-off and IR cut-off. The vacuum energy speeds up the cosmic expansion while applying this idea to the universe as a whole, and adopting the future event horizon as the IR cut-off. I will firstly briefly review this idea and its current status in light of several cosmological observations, and then present its low energy effective field theory, which was missing in the literature. It turns out the low energy effective field theory of the holographic dark energy is the massive gravity whose graviton has 3 degrees, including one scalar and two tensor modes.
