Lyman-alpha forest is a unique tracer of structure at high
redshift. It probes an important epoch in the evolution of the
Universe, just before dark energy kicks in, covers massive amounts of
volume and has systematics that are very different to those in galaxy
surveys. BOSS has given us unprecedented amount of data, allowing
Lyman-alpha forest to be used as a three-dimensional tracer for the
first time, but even more is coming with eBOSS and later DESI.  I will
discuss victories to date and prospects for future battles.
