Research interests: My research involves the measurement of Baryon Acoustic Oscillations in large scale structure to place constraints on fundamental cosmological parameters. Initially in my PhD I am focusing on investigating the effectiveness of BAO reconstruction using the 6dF galaxy survey.
Biography:
Initially from Dorset, I undertook a undergraduate MSci Physics and Astrophysics degree at the University of Birmingham from 2011-2015, achieving a 1st class. My masters project involved the use of galaxy-galaxy lensing to analyse the truncation of dark matter haloes as they migrate into cluster environments. During my studies I was actively involved in astronomy outreach through leading roles in the astronomical society and department led public engagement. I am currently in my first year of a PhD Cosmology and Gravitation under the supervision of Prof. Will Percival and Dr. Florian Beutler at the ICG. I also have interests in high performance computing and amateur astronomy.
Qualifications: MSci (Hons) Physics and Astrophysics (Class I)Professional memberships: Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society
