Research interests: I am interested in Cosmology and Astrophysics, specifically dark energy and modified theories of gravity. My PhD project will be involved with finding ways of testing such theories.
Biography:
Originally from Houston, I moved to Malta when I was 7 where I remained until my move to Portsmouth. I recently completed a M.Sc in Mathematical Physics in which I looked at the effects a non-minimally coupled scalar field would have on the structure of a neutron star. Prior to that, I worked for a year on black hole physics. I am currently a first year PhD student at the ICG under the supervision of Kazuya Koyama and Gong-Bo Zhao. In the time I spend away from physics I enjoy jogging, reading, writing, squash, football, baking pie and eating pie.
