ICG researchers, David Matravers and Kazuya Koyama, were invited to attend a ceremony at the Embassy of Japan to celebrate the Bestowal of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star on Lord Martin Rees by the Government of Japan in recognition of his significant contribution to strengthening and developing relations between Japan and the United Kingdom for many years.
